Hello dear curly heads,

As you've probably already noticed, I'm always happy to help with questions about curl care. One question that comes up again and again is how to properly care for children's curls. It's often about mane taming, i.e. the best way to comb and care for curls. 😊

lockenkopf.jpgWhen I get my curls ready for the crib in the morning, I usually just take a bottle of water, a leave-in conditioner and a comb. First I spray some water on the curls, then I massage a little of the conditioner into the damp curls with my fingers. (on lockenkopf.ch you can find some conditioners I prefer Kinky Curly Knot Today and the Leave-In Smoothie from Afro love) Then I comb the hair; and this is very important, from the ends and work my way up towards the roots.

Depending on your hair, you can dilute the conditioner with a little water so that the curls don't become so "heavy" and the next day a little water with a spray bottle and the conditioner reactivates itself again.

If your curls are still lacking a little shine, simply add a drop of your favorite oil on your hands and "comb" through your hair again with your fingers. The oil locks the moisture into the curls and makes the crown of curls shine again.

So much for taming, my dear curl tamers. If you have any more questions, just write to me on WhatsApp or email. Sometimes it may take me a while to answer, but I will always reply.

See you soon

Cordially
