Hello, curly-haired friends,
Today I’d like to share another DIY recipe with you, specifically for scalp care.
Especially during the cold winter months, thescalp is put under a lot of strain due to the contrast between the cold outside and the warmth inside. This often leads to dryness and dandruff. I always think of it like flowers—my curls need healthy soil to grow optimally. For this nourishing mask, you’ll need:
Quantities for medium-length curly hair:
(2 tbsp each, approx. 3 cm piece of ginger)
- Molasses
- Honey
- An oil of your choice (e.g., argan oil or jojoba oil)
- Hair mask (whichever one you prefer)
- Peeled ginger
It’s best to press the ginger into a cup or bowl using a garlic press and then strain it through a sieve. Then mix the remaining ingredients well and gently massage the mask into your scalp. If there’s any left over, you can also spread it through your curls, as all the ingredients are very nourishing for your hair.
Leave the mask on for about 30 minutes to an hour. Then rinse it out thoroughly and finish with a conditioner.
I hope this recipe helps you get through the winter! 🌿
Best regards,
Rosa Maria
