Hello, curly-haired friends,
As you’ve probably already noticed, I’m always happy to answer questions about caring for curly hair. One question that comes up often is how to care for children’s curly hair. It usually comes down to figuring out how to tame that mane—in other words, how best to comb and care for the curls. 😊
When I’m getting my curly hair ready for daycare in the morning, I usually use a water bottle, a leave-in conditioner, and a comb. First, I spray a little water on my curls, then I use my fingers to work a small amount of conditioner into the damp curls. (You can find a few conditioners on lockenkopf.ch; I prefer the Curl Defining Leave-in Conditioner and the Afro Love Leave-In Smoothie). Next, I brush the hair—and this is very important—starting at the ends and working my way up toward the roots.
Depending on your hair type, you can dilute the conditioner with a little water to make your curls feel less "heavy," and the next day, you can often simply spray a little water on your hair to reactivate the conditioner.
If your curls still lack a bit of shine, simply rub a drop of your favorite oil into your hands and "comb" through your hair again with your fingers. The oil locks moisture into the curls and restores shine to your curls.
There you have it, my dear curl tamers. If you have any other questions, feel free to send me a message on WhatsApp or by email. It might take me a little while to get back to you, but I’ll always respond.
See you soon
Best regards
Rosa Maria
